Travelling to Casa Hermosa will be easy! The town were Casa Hermosa is located is Playa Hermosa (3 miles before Uvita) and is next to the Pan-American highway 34.

Travelling from the Netherlands

If you travel from the Netherlands you can get a direct flight from Schiphol to San Jose, Juan Santamaria International Airport with KLM. The flight will take about 11 hours. From San Jose you can rent a car or take a bus to Uvita. There are many car rental companies at the airport, but our experience unfortunally is not always good. We can recommend one good car rental next to the airport which is Jumbo Cars.

Travelling from San Jose

The easiest way to travel from San Jose is by Car. Take the highway 27 towards the coast and than take the highway 34 to Jaco. Follow this long highway until you reach the Envision sign before Uvita. Easy apps to use are Maps.me (works also offline) and of course Google maps (only works with internet connection if you didn’t downloaded the map prior to your trip).

To get to Casa Hermosa a 4×4 is not necessary, but if you are going to explore the area we advise you to rent a 4×4.

You can also take a flight from San Jose to Quepos. Quepos is about a 45 min drive to Casa Hermosa. Tickets can be booked on www.flysansa.com
